Wacky nite out in Madrid

Had a memorable nite out with my frens from school
we've become real good frens
the 4 of us get along very well,
we had Baileys n Icecream at my place on Thurs
n went ard town on Friday after class
Saturday nite we met up for drinks n clubbing..

pictures below are frens of Melinda
Melinda (beside me in the pic below), from Canada
she's pretty farnie, n direct
she was already drunk from 3 long-island tea when we met
us with her alil weird polish fren, n german girl

us on the streets, all cuddled up
looking for the next club to hop to

Melinda, Paulina and Me.
Paulina is the 17-yr-old french girl who makes us all laugh

The best picture of all.
the 4 of us. so much laughter, n fun.
Paulina, Una, Melinda and me.
it feels like we've known each other for abit.
althou it's just been 2 wks.
i love to laugh with them.

the nicest thing abt them
is that they aint like the others
they give me the feeling that they'r so independent
n they can have fun alone as well
they dont need other pple.

Una's the grown-up of he bunch
an Irish, project manager who worked in Congo
Paulina, teenager who's only 17, gushes at hot guys
uses 'fuck' excessively n makes me laugh.
Melinda, almost the same age as me, innocent n direct.
I love them already.

Alberto n this stranger in the club
just started singing to this song
was realli funny how he grabbed his shoulder
n they both started prancing along to it.

Downing tequila shots!
No wonder I was all hungover on Sunday
puked at least 10times. yukes.

Strangers on the street
all joined in for a pic with us.
it was farnie how the spanish guys just came along
n started chatting with us foreigners.

One of the best nites in Spain.
only spent like 10euros in all.
for that huge amt of alcohol in my body.
hibernation time- exam this Fri!!!!

HALLOWEEN PARTY '06

Went for a Halloween Party in Satu's apartment
woa, her apt was soo cool
it's a whole building for only the ERASMUS students
all the European students on exchange,
imagine how fun that is.
loud music, beer everynite.lol.

I dressed up as Pocahontas (ok in my dreams can)
Satu in her mousey costume.

Her finnish fren as Spiderman

Satu n her housemates (all too gd-looking)

Lara, me and Satu.
Lara's french but has Arabic, Spanish n Italian blood. lol.
she's v nice to me, n is adorable, i like her.

me with my humongous mask & Keegan.

Mai & me.
Japanese girl all made-up.

Risa & me.
awww she gave me a farewell card when I left Granada.

Lara's boyfren in moroccan vampire disguise

Lara all booty-shaking
in her hot belly-dancing costume.

WAHAHA n for the last laugh
Alberto in his adorable disguises. lol.

Roadtrip along the Costa del Sol

Alberto & his cool new Peugeot
the lucky son-of-a-b**ch
pretty nice car for only 8000euros?!

Driving along the coast
beautiful views of costa del sol (coast of sun)

The famous cuevas (caves) of Nerja
the grandeur of such a natural phenomenon
is pretty unbelievable.
u really cannot compare this to Batu Caves in KL. lol.
they even hold orchestra concerts in there.
i realli liked the feeling it gave.

First glimpse of the sea
busking in the autumn sun.

aha! spanish menu del dia

Balcon de Europa
lovely views of the Mediterranean Sea.
P.S. Mediterranean Sea was named this way
cos in ancient times, they used to think Europe n Africa
was all there was on Earth
Mediterranean Sea separates Europe n Africa
& so Mediterranean means ' in the middle of the earth'

Drove back to Granada by evening
Caught a flamenco spectacle with Lara, n Risa
was pretty amazing
professional performance
when the show started,
the backdrop behind the stage unveiled
revealing the beautiful niteview of the Alhambra.

Hanged out at the bar with Lara, Amanda n their frens.

Mad fun in Granada

Some mad fun in a club with my classmates
lol. look at them booty-shaking on the bar.
Amanda the o-so-american girl who gt trashed by me
& super-hot Lara on the right.
Lara likes me alot cos I remind her of her taiwanese-french best fren.
how odd.

we then proceeded to another bar
to join my japanese frens
was a whole loada fren
we met this couple- Spanish guy n jap girl
they declared they'r not in love
bt they were goshing, laughing n arguing awww..
they made our nite.

Just so much laughter.

Spent some time alone with Alberto
in our fav al-fresco bar,
it has perfect views overlooking Granada

Ah finalli got to go into a cave!
Granada has this old part called the Albayzcin,
it's situated on slopes,
lotsa gypsies live in the caves,
Ive heard so much but nvr been in there
pretty interesting ey..

Livin' la vida loca

A crazy life, oooo yeh.
my life has taken a 360deg turn
here I am,
holed up in a big busy city
cars zooming, pple rushing, metro doors slamming
a tiny persona
in a gigantic concrete city.

Feel like a mad dash for the O levels again
cramming exam tips,
mastering MCQs,
practising 10-yr series.
Man, it all feels so familiar.
But in another language.
It is fucking god-damn tough
but I tell myself I will pass it.

the DELE exam requires a 70% pass
today I realise Im the only person in school
who actualli is taking the risk of the exam.
The arrogant greek guy in my class
is gonna take classes for 6 more mths before he tries the exam
wat the fuck am I doing..
Just jumping into the fire after 1 mth of spanish??
Anyhow I am all stressed up, n freaked out
esp when Im using my own money
n without the DELE i doubt I can find any job.
fuck. c'est la vie.

But Ive got great frens in my new school in Madrid.
Super young canadian girl Paulina
i like hanging out with her, she makes me laugh.
we'r making baileys & ice-cream tmr!

On a bright note,
we went back to Granada for the wkend
n it was a drunkard's fest
once again, i tried hard to get drunk
downing beers, wine n even fags
but i was still half-sober
it was hilarious in the club when
all the dudes came to dance with us.
Met up with Mariko and Lara,
ah Lara's real nice, despite being French lol.
fun and o-so-sexy.

Lotsa pictures to post, from 3wks ago.
Day trip along the coast, Halloween party n all.
when i get time off from my books...

A Dios le pido (To God I ask)

sigh the first week in Madrid was a nightmare
we dashed across honking traffic, ran in the rain,
cramped in the crowded Metro,
computing from 1 end of the city to the other.
Now we'r finally settled in a pathetic room,
the apartment is antique, classic tv from the 70's,
brown wallpaper, huge wardrobes that stink.
Im officially back in the 70s's.

We realli haven't got a choice
it was just 4 full days of zooming ard
looking at cramped/dirty rooms
this was the best we could get. sigh.

At least now Im feeling better
Spanish classes have started n Ive met new frens
Life isnt that bad now.
its back to frugal-minimum-expenditure lifestyle
almost feels like London all over again,
the rain, the bad weather, the rude people
and the expensive food.

Granada feels so far away.
the first few days my heart ached to go back.
but i know Life has more things in store for me.

Alberto has started his new job with Coritel,
as a programmer,
i waited for him in his office the other day
when he went to sign the contract,
seeing the typical office executives rushing here n there
i wondered if Alberto was gonna be like them.
It's just so different
Alberto has a rugged humble heart ;),
he's never gonna be like those mundane, robotic workers.

On the other note,
Alberto just bought suits, shirts n ties for his work
n i declare him as super hot. super sexy.lol.

Right off to the library to work hard on my exam
P.S. Im preparing for the DELE exam at the end of the mth,
it's similar to the TOEFL for English
I'll seek in depression if I dont pass, cos i have no money to try it again.
and i need it to find a job ;(

Life o life....
