WORLD CUP 2006 @ BERLIN

OLE!!! Our first day in Berlin
we met Heiko, my fav German fren from Miami
dashed off to the quarter-finals of Germany vs Ecuador.
It took us almost 3 hrs just to look for somewhere to watch the match
it was way too crowded
we didnt get to watch much of it,
bt here we are, right in the heart of Brandenburg Gate Park
where the carnival begins
lotsa German food, beer, screens put up for live matches..

Cant believe myself wearing that.. England is nt exact fav team ey..

A funny episode happened when we were all tugged in the best seats,
getting ready to watch the evening match England vs Sweden
some German rogues snatched our seats
pissed me off, so i called them Barbarians..ah they ignored me
this Germany guy behind me, with a British girlfren, told me :
'Welcome to the world of Ugly Germans!'
lol.

Heiko bought a German flag, and Alberto with his Spanish drum-like thingy
haha world cup = european war

Lotsa world cup atmosphere - german fans with wigs & face-paint
everywhere was red, yellow and black
People were cheering, drinking and walking ard with german flags wrapped ard themselves
the adrenaline, atmosphere and camaraderie...
A superb experience to witness World Cup right in the home country!!

Post-match celebrations..
fans were dancing everywhere - loud music, laughter, fun!!

they still managed to conserve a part of the Berlin Wall
full of history, lotsa stories to read abt wat happened here
it's quite amazing that it didnt happen too long ago
when we were still kids, Heiko cld remember how it felt like back then..

Bohemian Rhapsody in Prague

One of the best city in Europe
beautiful bohemia out of a fairy tale setting
cobble-stoned paths, grey ancient Palace
across a meandering river that surrounds the main city
Im going back there someday..

Loadsa food, drinks, laughter..
there we are, at our favourite Czech restaurant!
lol cant forget that incredibly huge duck leg Fai had..

The view from the Old Town Hall was incredible
despite being a not-too-tall building,
going all the way up was quite an experience
Gorgoylles lining the rooftop..grey interior marked with history..

Lost in translation.

That smell of history, bohemia and enchantment..
Prague.

we caught the Spain vs Tunisia match
rite in the middle of old Town Square
Spain trashed Tunisia, and the spanish fans were all dorned in red n yellow
face paints, red flags, beer
all we cld hear was Ole ole ole ole lol

Funniest episode of the whole trip was probably our first hour in Prague:
me and Alberto arrived early and decided to wait for Fai in the airport
so off we went, to get some Czech beer first thing!
there we were, full of anticipation in this country famous for pornography,
or rather, porn stars lol.
An hour into our beer,
the two American chicks standing by the bar
started locking lips (erhem..2 hot chicks)
the two started getting pretty hot
fondling each other *yes while everyone just stared*
getting so into each other
that they fell off the chairs, into each other arms
rite at my feet!
ooopsoops.. an awkward silence in the bar.
2 seconds later, they were on their feet
drunk and stoned
dashing into the boarding gate with their huge backpacks.
wat a bizarre start to the trip....
