World Cup - the whole world's watchin it

No more.... Spain lost to (lousy) France!?!!! *wide-eyed, big-mouthed*
Life's spinning around World Cup lately,
with all huge soccer fans around me
is any British not a soccer fan?? errr...no!

Was an incredible experience catching that World Cup fever in Berlin itself
woohoo~~was an unforgettably exhausting one as well
by the time we jostled into the crowded streets of Central Berlin,
the match had started..n the whole city came to a standstill
we wanted to grab the best seats in the fanfest,
but we didnt even manage to catch a glimpse of the screen ;(
there were just too many pple,
Brandenburg gate park was huge.. at least 6 big screens were set up
was a big party for the Germans,
Germany vs Ecuador. they danced, cheered and drank (o yeh, alot)
we managed to catch the England vs Sweden match rite infronta the big screen..
Oh! and the Spain vs Tunisia game was the best!
we caught it in Prague, right in the centre of Old Town Square
there were sooooo many Spanish fans, decked out in Red and Yellow jerseys
Spanish flags, paintings on their faces
was a real good atmosphere..

Me, Alberto and Fai trotted off to Prague before heading for Berlin to meet Emily and Justin..
Prague was sooo beautiful in its own European way
it reminded me of Florence,
romantic, tranquil, small yet royal..
I especially loved the cheap but superb food..
Czech food is on my top 5 'Best Cuisine in the World' list, definitely.
Fai couldnt stop complimenting the Duck he had lol.

June has been a reeeeeeeeeealli busy month for me and Alberto
ahhh sooo many guests in our Bed&Breakfast.
After returning from Berlin,
Hannah came over to stay with us ..
and over last weekend, Fofi was in London as well,
Fede and her girlfren too..
was really nice to hang out with the Spanish again
was such a waste, didnt talk to Fofi much,
he was too drunk and stoned lol haha
my second fav guy in Miami (besides Alberto of cos lol)...

and a big surprise came
when Ivar dropped us an email, and said he's coming to London today!
ahh all the way from Iceland,
on the same day Emily's coming back to London...(hmm... haha)
so yay! another reunion this weekend
it'll be the four of us again,
like the good old days ,
when we used to go Miami's best Pizza, TGI Fridaes, Bahamas...

An exquisite June - full of laughter, experience and joy of catching up with old frens!

Bed&Breakfast at Nellie's

Past few weeks were hectic..
completely exhausted, both mentally n physically
entertaining our frens who came to visit.
Bing and Euge checked outta our B&B at 7am on saturday morning
and 2hrs later, Emily and Justin checked in. lol.
Frens from Hongkong were great fun to be with..
luckily the enthusiastic tourists dashed off for some sight-seeing aft breakfast
me and Alberto caught up on our long-awaited sleep (&bubblebath hee..)

Saturday evening was a weirdly bizarre one.
we were waiting for the Emily & Justin, when this brit girl approached us
she was decked out in a white tube-sundress, in her big fashionistic sunnys,
asked if we'll like to go to an Opera, which was starting in 10mins' time.
What's the catch', i thot. So i shook my head, 'no'..
Ah, bt 'Nono it's free, its an English opera in the London Coliseum'
26pounds worth of opera tix for free..hmm..nonetheless we took it.
I know i was gonna doze off in the coliseum, bt heck..
could be a great experience who knows!
so off we went, our first (& of cos our last) time to catch an Opera.
As expected, the theatre was fulll of posh high-end British, all sipping expensive white wine
raving on abt how this Ariodante show must be good, in their high-strung english accent. Oh pls..
So the show apparently started (hmm didnt understand a single bit at the beginning, until Alberto realised they showed their script on the top of the stage)
Alberto's hayfever didnt get any better, n he was sneezing away, with his runny nose lol
and I was trying hard to stay awake.
the story wasnt too difficult to catch.
but we realised each character just repeated their every single sentence 20times
and that's how the opera lasted for more than 3 fuckin' hours?!
Obviously, this turned out to be quite an experience, we had to sneak off during the interval lol.
we probably will laugh abt it when we get old..

Anyhow, the past week has been spent bringing them ard London
not too much of it, since we had to work
but was nice to visit WIndsor finally,
Tom lives there, n everyone praises the lil town..
the flag was out in the castle, so Queen Liz was there!
ahhh.. i was sitting rite nxt to the castle, imagine me so near to the Queen! haa

Oh and Hannah's back in town
the lucky girl's been all over Asia aft her exchange in Hongkong
had a great lunch with her yest, she came over to my office
i realli miss having a good fren, n talking abt real stuff
heart-to-heart talks..
used to do that with Bing so much,
just a waste we cldnt do it when she was here.
I guess we realli dont make gd travelling partners,
but we'll always be good frens.
Ash, take care of urself too,
u know I'm always here.

Rite, off to pack my stuff for Prague n Berlin tmr!
ahh packing again
I feel like a nomad... i wanna go home..

Still loved it even more than our first trip.
havent had the time to rest since then. we'r craving for a wink of sleep.

Alberto's birthday party was superb
had balls of fun at Sway bar, all our frens turned up
the whole place was empty, as if we booked the area
we had loads to drink (yeh n i only spent £10?!! yayhoo.thanks to my generous frens)
Alberto didnt even spend a quid! lol his glass was full thru out the nite
everyone just kept pouring him drinks hehe
Katie's french n kiwi frens made me laugh lol with their accents
Leon turned up with his hot Trinidadian girlfren n 2 other hotties
Hannah was there too! had alot to catch up w her

time to get back home,
nurse my horrible hangover (yes again sigh)
n prepare myself for yet another exhausting wkend

Life never goes your way

disappointed it turned out this way
thot it wld be laughter, drinks n happiness
thot it wld be plain old catching up..
life just doesnt go the way you want it to.
so much things I wanna share with her
but it seems like there are too much going on in her life..

overwhelmed yesterday
Ash seems to be in a whirlpool of emotions,
wish I could be there for my good ol' pal
it was what I needed at the time, as well
Frens can never replace anything else in the world.
Your cry for help seemed to be an answer to mine..

on a bright note,
it's Alberto's birthday today ;)
Happy 25..
I've been the happiest person with you around
No one loves me the way you do, thank you.
