World Cup 2006 - Italy won!!

115 mins: The match is being played out against a backdrop of piercing whistles. French fans have not had the luxury of a replay and are making their feelings known. Former US president Bill Clinton and UN secretary general Kofi Annan are atthe ground and we may need them for some full-time diplomacy.

111mins: Zinedine Zindane is the fourth player to be sent off in a World Cup final. That was his last act on a football pitch. Not the best way to bow out - quite literally. Goalkeeper Fabien Barthez takes on the armband.

RATER POLL: 62% of you say that late red card tarnishes Zinedine Zidane's career.

110 mins: RED CARD
After a lengthy delay and consultation with his linesman referee Horacio Elizondo sends off France captain and talisman Zinedine Zidane. From hero to villain in one moment of lunacy.

LOL The commentary on BBC Sport website was hilarious.
We caught the World Cup Finals Live online!! wohoo~ only for network within UK..cool huh
anyhow this World Cup has been absolutely crazy,
being here in the UK, and near all the happenings gives me all that atmosphere n adrenaline
it's realli weird (ok maybe nt) how all the Europeans have that passion for their countries
here's out they describe how their countries played:
'We played soo well last nite against Tunisia..'
'We scored a goal at the last min..'
Duhhh big time..but that's how it is like, i guess. Interesting..
My colleagues have undeniably admited how England played like shit during the quarters..
but the day when England lost to Portugal,
nobody could deny how surprisingly well England played..
all of us watched in awe , in the sweltering heat (o yeh, it was the hottest day in UK 32deg)
me and Emily (lol she holds a Portugese passport nw as well) were the only supporters of Portugal in the bar.
Alas Portugal won with the Penalty shootout
but woa~~ that was an exciting match alrite.
The Finals today could have been one helluva match had Zinedine not headbutted his Italian enemy.
Afterall, who's not happy, Italy won!! Ciao bella!

P.S. Did I mention I hate the french? wooops

as Alberto likes to say 'Who in the world likes the French pple besides the french themselves?!'
